maybe the folks at merriam-webster are drunk with holiday patriotism, because this is the first error i've noticed in the word of the day service since i subscribed YEARS ago:
awesome.
merriam-webster should invigilate the word of the day phonetic spellings more closely lest the pronunciation of words be misconstrued.
